A wise dwarf cat with a human expression looks at the camera as if to say: "get on with it". The dwarf cat is a normal sized cat with short legs. This is a Munchkin purebred show cat of distinction. The Munchkin is the founding breed of the group of dwarf cats of which there are 13 in total. The origin of the dwarf cat names is interesting. Sandra Hochenedel discovered a random bred dwarf cat in 1983. She created the breed. She named the breed after the little people in the musical, The Wizard of Oz.
