Thank you for sharing. We had this happen to a dog many years ago. The dog didn't seem to be bothered, but the lump was unsettling to us, so we took her to the vet. The vet called it "wolves" and then mentioned warbles. I had never heard of either. Thank God we are attentive guardians.
Thanks for commenting, Neither had I heard of these nasty larva until I saw the photo on the vet's Flickr page. It looks horrible but as you say dogs tolerate it.
